Are you able to tell us what story Mr. Zahn is writing? Just wondering if I should put on my hard back wish list or wait for the paperback as I usually do with anthologies.

Well, let's just say it involves the Andies and someone from Mr. Zahn's last short story...

Thanks! Now I have to remember what he wrote... Didn't he do Harrington and Fearless in Silesia?

His story was about Rafe being detached in Silesia for a secret mission, it was the story regarding the wedge buster weapon.

I have purchased the Earc. Still reading it but it also includes another look into that mythical creature I want to capture (not just glimpse) the fabled "Tech Bible".

Mr. Weber is really having an adverse effect on my Cheap B... self image. :-)

I picked this up and I am thoroughly enjoying the read.

On the third story now and trying to decide whether to just finish them all of tonight or to try and make them last a couple more days. :)

Could someone post how many stories there are and what they are called (and maybe, without much spoilering, what they are about)?

VERY MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!

The first story is by Jane Lindskold titled "Ruthless". It's a sequel to her previous short story and touches upon how Judith and Michael hooked up.

The second story is by Timothy Zahn titled "An Act of War". This too is a sequel to his previous short story. I mentioned some other details in my previous post.

The third (and longest) story is by David Weber titled "Let's Dance". It covers the Casimir raid prior to OBS.

Lastly, there is a VERY in depth entry from the tech bible (well, technically not THE tech bible but a design study made by one of David's minions to supplement it) regarding the history and design of laser heads and armor.

EDIT: I should also point out that this entry is also available in Jayne's Ship Book 3.
