Fortitudo, Fidelitas, Decus

What do the words translate to?

The first two are Fortitude and Brotherhood, I presume, but no clue on the last word. Help?

If Google Translate is to be believed, it's "Strength, Fidelity, Beauty".

EDIT: digging around a little more, the Latin root would more imply something like "Splendor", "Glory", "Honor", or "Grace".

That makes sense. I guessed at the first one and knew the second (Semper Fidelus - Brothers forever from the Marine Corp) but I couldn't get any of the translators to spit out anything for Decus. Except now I wrote it wrong. Forever Loyal. Sigh... there is probably a very good reason why I am just a civie.

Thanks for solving for me!

Actually the Marine Corps motto translates as "Always Faithful". FYI the U.S. Marines would have your head (literally) to suggest otherwise.

Not if the Latinists get to him first. Although they might go for something a bit lower.

"Brothers Forever" would be Semper Fratres

The post coasties motto is Always Ready. But their unofficial motto is "You have to go out, you don't have to come back"
