Though not part of our Honorverse, I thought y'all would like to know that Leonard Nimoy passed today. Even though the Trek universe has alot more goofy physics in it, he played a very noble character and I wanted to pay a bit of tribute here
Thanks for the memories. ---------------------
All my posts are YMMV, IMHO, and welcoming polite discussion, extension, and rebuttal. This is the HonorVerse, after all |

He will be missed. He quite literally became the face for SF and the adventures 'out there', with all the alienness in a rather 'human' package.
Most sad news. ETA: Over at Deviant Art there are hundreds of picture tributes. But for military SF fans such as we, this is the best one, IMHO: Last edited by Hutch on Fri Feb 27, 2015 11:50 pm, edited 1 time in total.

We emailed all the time. I have not had a reply nor seen a post on this forum in MANY months. He had very serious heart complications about a year&half ago and was able to come back for a while, though it was obvious he had some mental damage caused. A common side effect of an oxygen starved brain due to heart complications. I figured this thread was an appropriate place to post this news. It would hit namelessfly's "humor" button. |

Oh man.
My grandfather survived two serious heart attacks 40 years ago and has never been the same since. I know how mental damage sounds like - how could I miss than? |
