I see what you did there--still waiting to see if a Planet or a ship is called "Skylark"

Surely "Seiner Majestät Raumschiff". OF course, RunForCelery's humor might tell us that the first ship in that fleet was the Kapitan Mors (Captain Death; it's a literary reference to the first SF magazine ever, not to mention the author who coined the word "Raumschiff" (spaceship).) |

Could be. The Triumphant class BB was 4.5 mtons. What I'd really like is one very close to 1.5 mtons. (Since, as far as I can tell, the MtH table is giving acceleration for the smaller of each mass pair on a row) Right now there's a gap from 0.9 mtons all the way 3.8 mtons with no example ship in it. Anyway, beyond just the raw data on the ships (which admittedly I'll probably mine first) I'm looking forward to the story (whatever it is) and the greater backstory on Haven and its pre-conquestador naval history. |

Now that would be fun! I think we're all agreed that the novella will focus on Haven, but what if RFC threw us a curveball and had it focusing on the Andies instead? Mike. ---------------------

That would be fun, we know a lot less about them. Is the favorite food General Tso's Spätzle?

Why am I reminded of "Lotus X" from this film? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_of_Our_Dinosaurs_Is_Missing If you've seen it, you'll know what I mean. Mike. ---------------------

I read this, and said to myself: "Self! Lets try this." And the verdict is: Actually pretty darn good. I'd recommend it. |

Nice. Good to get confirmation and recommendation; now I guess I'll have to make some to try. |
