Sooo...

No thread about this so far, but as most of you know, three days ago MWW reappeared and awarded his loyal followers with ominous hints about "Graphic Novels". Well... since he mentioned that there'd be more information on Comic Con, I used google to look up what exactly had been disclosed over there. So, here's a short article about the Graphic Novels, complete with two pictures of artworks:

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/07/20/ ... of-a-film/

I'll summarize the information available:

- Author will be Matt Hawkins
- Military Sci-Fi Graphic Novels
- In conjunction with a movie studio
- Fully painted (in conjunction with Korean artists)
- Will be launched in January for a monthly release by Top Cow/Image comics
- Big Media Push (whatever that means..)

If you know anything else - post it! :)

I remember proposing an idea for utilizing these very same elements a few years back, writing a screenplay for an Honor Harington movie based on a graphic novel version of Honor. There has been a trend these last few years for doing that due to a few good reasons. First, graphic novels by their format are naturally cinematic and are almost story boards unto themselves (a necessary preliminary tool for envisioning what a movie will look like), Secondly, due to its visual nature it provides for a legitimate secondary source for "source material". I am very curious to see what a graphic novel would look like. I only hope the author isn't the same guy who has been doing the HH cover art these last few years.

Read the early books.

Honor is hopping out of the shower to answer the intercom constantly, usually not having time to dry herself before slipping into a silk kimono.

Would Weber have written these scenes if he didn't intend for guys such as me to visualize these scenes?

Well, it makes alot of marketing sense. A few years ago, graphic novels were the rage of young boys. My wife at the time had a half brother and half sister. They loved going B & N to buy graphic novels. What does all this mean, it's a go Basilik Station the movie. If it's successful, probably a HH tv series like what's happening with the Avengers and some type of MMO video game in the HH universe. Imagine a cartoon series starting with a young Steffanie Harrington and her treecat to appeal to younger generation.

DW- quit counting the millions or billions of dollars of profit and get back to writing to make this happen! Just think if your successful....Harrington Studios!

Is there going to be a Harrington house like there is a Lucas ranch?
