I've been thinking about this for awhile. And I was wondering what kind of civilian type jobs treecats can preform with little or no training.

Here is a possible list

Backcountry tour guide
Tour guide
Naturalist cataloging flora and fauna with help from humans
Search and Rescue
Law enforcement
Child Care

little training;
assisting in contract negotiations and dispute settlements.

Lots of training;
Lawyer; imagine having a District Attorney that nobody could lie to.

The biggest problem is communication, 'cats can understand human speech, but few humans can read 'cat sign. Unless some machine to translate 'cat sign into human speech is introduced the 'cats will be limited in human society as as the deaf and mutes needing a translator to interact with the general public.

A translator is a pretty trivial piece of tech for the Honorverse, and the only reason RFC hasn't introduced one (I suspect) is for flavour... between things like Google Glass and Microsoft Kinect we could almost do it today (accurate finger positioning is the only hurdle, and we could probably do that if we dropped focus on the other limbs). A treecat could easily wear a belt or a tiny wristband or two that detected arm/finger positions and provided a voice equivalent; a human could wear glasses or a visor that translated treecat sign as well.
