I love the Klingon's reaction to the partially inflated Warbird decoy.

The US/UK had inflatable decoys for tanks, half tracks, airplanes, etc., that were used to fool the Germans, both before Overlord and during the European land campaign. Patton's assignment for Overlord was to simulate an Army headquarters threatening the expected landing near Calais. I believe the Wehrmacht/Luftwaffe had similar capabilities. And Lend/Lease would have sent US decoys to the Soviets.

What helped was that the Germans could not believe we would actually sideline some one as skilled as Patton for something they saw as trivial such as slapping an enlisted man.
