There is an anthology out entitled Noir Fatale edited by Larry Correia and Kacey Ezell. In which Larry Correia, Laurell K. Hamilton, Sarah Hoyt, AND DAVID WEBER, amongst others, contribute to a femme fatale anthology.

The MWW's story is set in Haven.

Why am I just now hearing about this? Oh why?!

Because you don't have the right friends in the right low places?

I've known about it for weeks. :-)

This happens to be the THIRD thread on this forum that mentions this anthology. I believe the other subject titles are "Noir Fatale" and "New Honorverse Short Story"

In a slightly related note RFC's "Dark Fall" story about the origin of Bolthole is available from Baen's free library in a 2018 fiction collection.

Because sometimes men are overprotective and rather reluctant to share their women?

Is that a really big gun she's carrying, or is she just really happy to see me? Women like men, who can get in touch with their own feminine side.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Yes.

If showers of blood are your thing then this story will not disappoint. You can read the story at Baen right now by clicking on a preview of the book it is in.

It's a perfect story in every way and there are no words for how much I love it, in case anyone was wondering about my opinion.

I somehow suspected you’d think something like that.

Other than a shocking lack of operational security, it was very cool.
