I'm looking forward to it, even though it sounds a long way off.

Couldn't have said it better!

Although, I do hope its not really such a long way off.
I'm sort of the impatient type.

Elizabeth to Honor.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Dame Estelle's sulfurous description of her interview with Countess New Kiev's courier had been [interesting]. Honor had never imagined the genteel, composed Resident Commissioner could be so elementally enraged. Dame Estelle had looked ready to bite pieces out of the furniture....

Also known as the moment I fell irrevocably in love with Dame Estelle Matsuko. (At least, I think that was the moment. It might have been earlier....)

If ever there was a reason for Honor to swing the other way...it is named Dame Estelle Matsuko.

I always thought their relationship came so easily to them. It was as if they were childhood friends reuniting.

They were so flawless together and I love them together so much and I need them to reunite so badly and we won't discuss my Honor/Estelle fantasies....

Of course there won't be any discussions while we're watching.
My tongue won't work then!

My impression was that it was rape. Mixing Sadism (the ugly violent kind vs the BDSM stuff) and Pedophilia. Thinking along the lines of snuff.

Their is a scene with Deitweiler and his wife Evilina Detweiler that implied he needed a fairly continual supply of little ones to satisfy his... appetites... She found it pretty disgusting.

Something in ART that I'm more than a bit irked about...
Her pain was almost worse because Grand Fleet’s casualties had been so light. She’d learned long ago that every death took its own tiny bite out of her soul, yet she’d also learned the lesson she’d wanted the Sollies to learn. Wars cost. They cost starships, and they cost billions of dollars, and they cost lives. No matter how well you planned, how hard you trained, they cost lives, and she’d been incredibly fortunate to escape with “just” two thousand dead, most in her screening LACs, and minor, readily repairable damage to eleven of her own superdreadnoughts.
That was still two thousand dead men and women too many, though...

I can't stop thinking that someone dropped the ball here. Why did anyone have to die in the GA? No other tactics could have been thought up to prevent the SLN from getting within missile range?

I simply feel those two-thousand lives were wasted all for naught!
