Is it bad that when I got to the end of this sentence, I started hearing Princess Leia's voice replacing "Haven" with "Alderaan"?

...Then adding Darth Vader saying, "You are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor! Take her away!"

Not bad but maybe you need to get out a little more? Lol. There's nothing wrong in quoting Star Wars anytime anywhere.

However, I have another HH quote for the thread:

"I'm rapidly discovering that it is not, in fact, possible—quite—to die of simple embarrassment. This is not always a fortunate thing, however, as it seems to challenge those about me to keep pushing the envelope to find out if someone can die of advanced embarrassment, on which point the jury is still out."

Honor's reaction to The Statue outside the Conclave of Steadholders. Remember? The 12-meter tall one that the Graysons refuse to take down?

Indeed that is funny, Honor's reaction.

But something just as funny is Michelle's reaction when she heard it from Honor, especially considering that sympathy was what Honor was soliciting.

And then when Honor found out that Benjamin and everyone on Grayson that she went to for help...the way they gave her the run-around...hillarious.

That also made me love the Graysons immensely.

Reminds me of an old song...

We love you Honor.
And we'll do anything for love.
But we won't dooooo thaaat.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

“And are you ready?” Honor asked, turning to Theisman with a crooked smile.

“Oh, I believe you could say that, Your Grace,” he replied. “And I’m sure Lester is, too.”

“Then just make sure you’re out of the pickup’s field of view until the appropriate moment.”

She made shooing motions, and Nimitz bleeked in laughter as the Havenite Secretary of Defense obeyed the gesture.

Right before the Second Battle of Manticore. I will never, ever be over the fact that Honor shooed Thomas Theisman.

Ohhh, I have high hopes for those two. Good God, do I ever.

r&h,
More and more I'm beginning to think you should go and get checked out. I think you got bit by a certain insect native only to Haven!

But pertaining to that moment. It was nice wasn't it?
And...it is also deja vu.

Reminds me of a certain reprimand she gave a certain Manticoran Admiral whom outranked her!

Only if your case is referred...
to Dr. Allison Benton-Ramirez y Chou Harrington.

Because what's ailing you is genetic. Indeed!
And the cure is probably sitting way out on the untouchable part of the Meyerdahl gene sequence. So your only cure may lie in certain Mesan hands!

R&H, I don't think there is a cure...

But the Mesans may have developed a variant on their assassin nanotech that will take control and make you cuddle and coo over the Sollies instead. Just think, soon you might find yourself crying over Byng or Rajampet or extoling the virtues of someone like Tsang or matchmaking the Mandarins. :P

On second thought, it would probably end up being the first failure of their tech, if you were the target.

Yep, possibly their first failure.
In fact rose would be the cure for everyone. A resistant strain.

The Alignment is stumped!

LOL

On the one hand, please excuse me while I vomit.

On the other hand... that would be the funniest scene in the entire series, bar none. Can you imagine??

And on the last thought - I don't think there is a nanotech strong enough to break my Havenite love.

From Crown of Slaves:

"Gosh, Berry, your mother is so sexy," murmured Ruth. "I bet she just got another twenty thousand votes."

Cathy seeing Anton off with quite a kiss before he went off to Mesa for the first time.
