Well, if I'm going to be on a Disney kick, I may as well go all the way:

"I Can Go the Distance" for Augustus Khumalo.

...What??

I just cringed.

But it's so accurate.

I'm so confused.

You're confused? I hit on my fancast (Norm Lewis) for Augustus Khumalo while watching the fancast in question sing a duet of "A Whole New World"! Half of my brain broke on contact; the other was doing handsprings of pure "I've found him at last!" joy.

That song should not be as appropriate for my Admiral as it is. And yet... and yet....

...it so is.

Augustus, what are you doing to me??

Any playlist for Honor would have to include Hammerwell. So what will that sound like? The descriptions sound classical to me. I hope they don't hire John Williams. He's good and all, and he defined Star Wars, but I can tell whenever he scores a movie. Something as recognizable as him would be good, just not him. I'm sure there are other composers out there who could do this justice in the films, I just don't know them.

There's actually a thread a page or two back discussing music specifically for the movie and bringing Hammerwell into the real world - this is more of a free-association, make-your-own-fanmix thread for the books. :D

I know I'm in favor of Hans Zimmer, though not everybody is; Michael Giacchino has also been tossed around, as has Bear McCreary.

D'oh! I apologize for not doing my homework. Earning my ensign-hood. Thank you for pointing me in that direction.

Three months ago I was just as squeaky as you are and couldn't open my mouth without putting my foot in it. We were all there once. :D

Welcome aboard!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who desperately needs an Aubrey Wanderman training montage to "I'll Make a Man Out of You".

...is it obvious when I was born, yet?

Nice video. Hot chick.

I like it for it's appropos-priateness! :D

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense
